Probably not something that will be big on this site, but I couldn't find another thread talking about it so thought I'd make one on the off chance there's any others who want to talk footie.

Arsenal fan for my sins here, must have done something wrong in a previous life. Who does everyone else follow?

Ayyyyy, good to know I've got an ally here ha ha.

How you feeling about this season? Squad finally has some depth, if we can keep everyone fit that is, which lets face it is already proving a challenge

I think my username probably gives it away

Up the O's

Hang on gentlemen, I know politics and religion are not entertained on this forum, I'll have to check about sport.
You know how it is, it all starts out nice, but eventually, someone will annoy somebody else and then commences the downward spiral.

No, all good,
But please remember the below.

General Rules

While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, profanity (or attempts to bypass profanity filters), insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.

Another team I've got a big soft spot for, used to always play Leyton Orient on Championship Manager back in the day, and the Club for a Fiver documentary is pound for pound one of the best sporting documentaries of all time!

Do you go regularly? Would have loved to have seen them make it up last year!

Thanks for the heads up Colin, will keep that all in mind

Get there when I can, I was a season ticket holder when I lived in Leyton and then Walthamstow
Would have been nice to have gone up, but really not ready yet as this season is showing.

That club for a fiver is grim watching for me, i was there that night.
Got even worse with the mad Italian who nearly finished us off.
Thankfully rescued and got back in the league then our manager Justin Edinburgh tragically passed away.
Onwards and upwards. that good old syaing there's always next season

I'll no doubt watch Arsenal in the Champions League, lost touch with Premier league football.
Its light years away from our level and no real clue who the players are or who they play for

I remember the pitch protest during that reign of the Italian guy, fair play to the fans for taking action! I must go, I've always wanted to go to an O's game sometime but have never quite got round to it. I was in the neck of the woods last year getting a tattoo and went past the ground and made a mental note to come back for a game.

Yeah Premier League has gone mad, spent £3billion on transfers this summer, that surely can't be good for the wider game.

Well football is a kind of religion…..but on the other hand….

I’m a Leeds fan, by the way…….and I’m looking forward to such an uplifting season 😂😂😂

Probably an urban myth, but I once heard a story about a radio interviewer who asked a fan what he thought about English football. The fan reckoned it would be a good idea! Or maybe it was cricket, or rugby or tennis or maybe it was even Mahatma Gandhi talking about Western civilisation.

Before anyone decides I should be shot for such heresy, I have to tell you I'm no sort of fan of any sport so could be considered entirely neutral.

PS If the mods think this is too inflammatory could you please remove it?

You lot have had a decent start to the campaign! Going to be interested to see if DCL can reinvigorate his career up there

The lads on the forums thought he came to us to give Bamford someone to talk to while they were both in the physio room…..not a bad addition if they can get him to play reliably though….and Farke is pretty good at man management, though a bit rigid tactically.

That was Ghandi……be nice if world leaders had that sort of sense of humour these days….

Ha well nice of Bamford to let him have it to himself! DCL is a good player on his day but more of a male model than anything else it seems
