Coming on nicely Joe!!

I also spotted the step for fitting the closed canopy completely by chance - just have to make sure that I actually do it!. I also have to trim the tail place in the same way to get the rudder on! Talking about not making it easy!! :cautious:

Thanks Andrew. Some of the instructions are a bit cryptic, but it's more my fault for doing modelling whilst tired.

Looks excellent joe, wing roots closed up nicely . You would think that more manufacturers would use a rigid spar system to ensure the correct dihedral on spits as its so easy to get one wing higher than the other or a too flat profile .

I have had a self-induced cock up with the upper camouflage, mixing paint with the wrong thinner. I am going to have to sand the paint back and start over. All part of the journey.

Do not model with only a few hours sleep after long work shifts. Clean your model areas so you do not pick up the wrong :censored: chemicals.

That's a real bummer Joe, hope you can get it fixed without to much of a struggle. Long shifts are no good, almost died this morning returning from the night shift on my bycicle, was driving like a zombie when traffic appeared around the corner... Anyway, best of luck with the sanding :coffee: cheers

Hopefully the paint can be saved joe , undersides looking good though , cheers tony

Thanks Steven. Be careful out there.

Shame about the paint c***-*p. Hope it hasn't totally clogged up the airbrush.
Airbrush is fine Jim, the lacquer thinner cleaned it if nothing else. For some reason I decided to use enamel on this build, and the mistake was putting lacquer thinner in.

Cheers Tony. I've had to do a repaint of the upper colours. The undersides survived. I'm not sure why I bother with enamels any more for this sort of job, lacquers have been so much better in every respect.

Thats a real shame Joe. Good luck with the paint recovery.
Thanks Steve. It's going to be delayed but it will survive.

What a shame Joe, hope you manage to sort it out 🤞

Geoff.
Thanks Geoff. I think it's nearly sorted.

At least you can save it Joe.
Yes Ian, even if I had to do a complete paint strip it would have been ok.

Joe,
Hope you get it all sorted.
Thanks Paul, it has survived.
