I got some Dark Earth Brown on:


Then started the tedious task of masking.



The Hurricane is now ready for the Dark green to be applied.

Missed the beginning of this build Joe and reminiscing how I got one built with the horrendous episode of scratching the missing the front canopy. Beautiful kit and I highly recommend it to anyone who has had the bad experience of the earlier Airfix '60s kits although I do enjoy their challenge. Looking forward to the dark green.

The camouflage looks okay. Nearly ready for gloss and decals. It's good to take photos of your build progress, in the previous post I saw two small gaps in the masking putty which otherwise would have gone unnoticed.

Great result. I need to get some of that masking putty. Last time I used blu tac and it left a mark on the paintwork. Yours has come out lovely Joe.

Cheers Steve. The putty cleans up okay afterwards with kneading and rolling before putting it back in the tin. I used to use blutac, but like you I found it left residue marks, especially over enamel paint finishes. It can be reused over and over. If you put too much on, about an hour later it looks like the monster from the deep has crawled over your model.
