I've not noticed it with the Vallejo gloss coat I've been using lately, but recall seeing it with a Matt coat, possibly the matting agent, though assumed that was me being heavy handed.....I don't know about paint as such, but water based varnishes do similar don't they. Milky white to clear........
I've recently moved to W&N Galleria for my wargaming stuff. But the only gloss I have is a small bottle of Vallejo, and I've not managed a consistent coat yet.I should have wrote that I don't use 'modelling varnishes' for my stuff, but use cheapo ordinary 'Milky' water based household varnishes (Matt, silk and clear) A 250mm tin for around a fiver. Works a treat on painted plastic!

That actually rings a bell. I think something similar might have existed. An AK product ??Wouldn't it be great to have a clear coat that does the same, goes on tinted and dries clear.....
Any one rember the Dulux ceiling paint that went on pink and dried to white?

Tim we used to buy Dulux Trade , a completely different paint from the DIY version. Harder to apply and had to be worked. You can still get it John…why you’d want it is beyond me. It flashed terrible and was very hard to get on even. It is also very expensive for white emulsion.
