Hi all

My wife applied the base coat of grey the other day and yet again displayed great trigger control on the AB!! Not that I'm at all jealous she's achieved in two sessions what it's taken me months to do!! :disappointed: ;)

I had to mix the colour myself by using a mid-tone grey and black on the fly as I didn't have any 'official' Panzer Grey. It came out ok but i hadn't clocked that the grey had a slight blue tinge to it and so wasn't exactly what I was after.

ACW welcome as usual.

At that scale it would probably be a little too dark. Also if you do a wash it will tone it down considerably. Just a thought.
Your Missus paint job is the Bomb. Rick H.

Thanks Rick, my thoughts exactly. Wish I had been a little more careful in mixing the paint but wife is still happy with it. :anguished:

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Andrew,
looks like Mrs Andrew is pretty nifty with the airbrush! Well done that man woman :thumb2:

Great stuff. Now you can concentrate on building and sublet the spraying to her :smiling5:

Her trigger action in particular was very nice and controlled and soooooooo much better than my ham-fisted efforts when I first picked up and AB.
She sounds better than I still am lol. It's still very much a surprise every time I pull the trigger as to how much going to come out :smiling5:

Hi all

So we decided to add some brown camo as per the instructions and after having got confirmation online as follows:

"On 19 July 1937, it was ordered to change the camouflage pattern to Dunkelbraun Nr. 45 (dark brown) and Dunkelgrau Nr. 46 (dark
gray), with feathered edges. Vehicles already painted in the Buntfarbenanstrich were not to be painted in the new pattern, unless they
were to be re-painted anyway."

I think you'll agree it came out ok for her first effort.

ACW as usual.

OK?? OK?? is that all you can say? :rolling:

That's an excellent result, first model built, first time using airbrush ?
(That was a practice run with the undercoat).:thumb2::thumb2:

Spent most of my modelling trying to get that kind of result! ;)

Now for the tricky part - a little weathering perhaps??

Paul.
:smiling2:
