My Grandson turned up a couple of days ago and presented me with yet another kit to build.
I just had to post my initial findings on starting this kit.

What a revelation! Who needs those expensive, and time consuming metal tracks with all that wiring together nonsense?

The 102 snap together, single links each side, working tracks went together in just one hour a side, including hardly any cleaning up - and stayed together.













Working plastic coil springs too!








Glued up....


A terrific bit of well engineered plastic. Probably the best make of kit I've ever worked on.....Bar none!

When I read that name I dreaded the worst, but what a superb kit it is.

Here's the other by the same company. I made this last year for His Lordship. Like the subject of this thread, a joy to put together....

Nicely detailed road wheels fitted.




...and yes, I went boing, boing as I worked the suspension.

570, isn't your grandson a bit beyond bringing kits for "Grand pa" to build for him? :tongue-out3: At least he has brought a quality kit for your enjoyment. I always liked the E-100..... as far as Hitler's obsession went for the maniacally huge "Wonder Weapons" I could never understand the tactical value of something so large you couldn't transport it to the nearest battle field on a good day..........have fun with this I hope to pick up a tip or two. Rick H.

He bought a ruck of 1/35 tanks thinking he would have the time to build them in his spare time whilst at University. But his dad said "No, they stay with me. You won't have any spare time!"

So, one by one, they have drifted in my direction to build for the lad.

Good to have you along for the build.

I've added the drive sprockets and idler wheels.









I've also made a start on the a**e end too. Nice touch on the exhaust pipe ends.


One of the camouflage options is the 'Disc' pattern. I love doing this sort of camo. The trouble is, the boy wants all his tanks German Grey.

We have come to a compromise. I'm allowed to do the disc camouflage and take some pictures. Then unfortunately, I have to obliterate it all in German Grey.....

Tracks on....
I don't normally like kits that just 'Fall Together', preferring to 'Build' them, but this kit from Amusing Hobby is amazing.
The 204 track links needed virtually no cleaning up, all went together with a simple click. And the fitting? I must confess to being a little cautious incase they all fell to bits, but I needn't have worried. I just wrapped the tracks around and they joined perfectly, gently touching every wheel, top and bottom and sprocket cogs first time.








Everything about this kit is spot on. The only cleaning up I've done is to remove the sprue stubs, even these were tiny. The fit is perfect.

I've built loads of kits from most manufactures in my time, but the two I've built from this company so far beats them all hands down - And I mean all!

You should know what's happening here Ron! Your grandson has been told by his dad: "Send those kits to grandad. He needs summat to do to stop him just sittin' in his armchair an' goin' senile in his old age!" :smiling:

PS Here I was thinkin' of clearin' out my stash, an' you're postin' this kind of great build as an advert for more new kits!

Never realised this brand had so well engineered kits. An E-100 is still on my bucket list so might consider getting one from Amuse one day. Nice start, the running gear sure looks cool!

The engineering is beyond reproach. Almost every piece, no matter how small, has clever little protrusions which marry in to where it's supposed to go. It will only fit one way and is quite impossible to get it wrong! It's not often I'm lost for words, but I'm getting darn close with this terrific kit.

I've glued on the lid. There is some P.E. for the engine grills.
Again, first time fit.
