Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2020)

Anyway ive always loved the m60 series and picked these up cheap off e.bay.The Tamiya kit has Bronco indy links which are made up of 6 parts per link!!.Anyone tackled these?
You mean tackled the track links or the kits?

The Esci M60s (later re-issued by Italeri) were easily the best M60s available until Dragon and AFV Club came out with theirs a few years ago, the Tamiya one is a very mediocre model, though, I daresay even by 1970s standards when it first came out. Can’t say anything about the track links, as I’ve never seen them in the flesh, let alone built them.

I've been absent for a while as work has totally beat me to a pulp. I hope to play catch up this weekend on all the good stuff here. Last week I did get a package from Poland with some reference material for my Zoukei kits for when I retire next year,

This week, I snagged this off evilbay for € 27 for my V2 project. It'll get an enclosed workshop body for the back. Much better detail than my IBG kit of it. The downside is the rubber tires,

See ya on the other side..............................

Allen love the nag just added it to my wish list

This didn't come in the post but it did find its way into the back of my pick-up.....some one dumped it at the shoulder of the Highway and I rescued it to repurpose as a model display case, that I happened to be sorely in need of. As you can see, I have already started filling it up. Rick H.
Looks like the one that fell out of the back of my truck while on my travels lol

If theres lots of pictures, i might get that one

Do have Janet and John go mad in a StuG!

Afternoon all

So the 4th arrival today in as many days saw the following, with no complaints from my ever suffering wife.........

I'm going to be dabbling a lot more with PE and so decided to splash out on some primer and a small PE bending tool.....

And also these. I first heard about them in late April (link HERE) and John started stocking them last week. The initial shots looked good, the reviews are unfailingly good and the reality is VERY nice indeed. The only other plastic kit that even comes close is the 1/76 Matchbox/Revell offering.

Single mould plastic hull, lots of detail, no obvious flash or other issues, a bit of PE, a couple of options on the decal front and even a metal barrel. Oh and John is selling them 10% under the RRP, even before the 5% discount.

Now my German forces will really have to watch out. A full troop of Comets is a whole different ball game to a troop of Shermans....

I've been watching evil bay for WWI vehicles to go with my 1/32 scale Tommy's war figures and I was originally going for a Model T Ford, but they were too expensive at the time, so I went for this.

Painted green it will be just the job for a staff car.
Now, does anyone know of a good source for PE wire-spoked wheels? I had a bit of a search yesterday but no luck so far.

SCORE!!! very well done Andy. will you gang build them or one at a time?
Rick H.
Hi Rick

I was quite pleased on a modelling front but I suspect my German 1/72 ad-hoc battle group is not so keen on the idea. Panther v 75mm M4A4 Sherman no contest. Panther v Comet could go either way.......

Current plan is to do one for the SimonT Memorial GB. The others will probably done en masse, it's more efficient for me when it comes to getting the AB and booth out for painting.

Thanks for stopping buy.

Ooh, possibly the first "sports car", nice.
You could always lace your own wheels..........
