Scale Model Shop

Show us your stash....

I would like to see that, did you know it was the original concept for the vipers in Battle Star Galactica?
(And there is a new Buck Rodgers film coming plus series.....)
I didn't know. Good thing they settled for a different design for the Vipers. I'll take a snap shot of it...the box is in quite a state and so are the decals.

Cheers,
Richard

Some of the ways that everyones stash is stored / piled / balanced is an impressive feat of engineering and ingeunity in itself!

We're all just really good at Tetris...........
(Pub I used to drink in had a Tetris machine that paid out, I used to go out with £2, 1 bottle of beer and then the jackpot....)

Seems more like jenga!

What happens if you need the box at the bottom? :smiling5::smiling5:

not a huge collection and rather random, what ever takes my fancy when I’m surfing the web.7792740C-E659-4129-B23F-28196EED1DFC.jpeg

Time to show your stashes....

I always keep mine relatively small at under 10 kits. 7 currently.
Three Trumpeter
Three Zoukie Mura
One Revell.

I am trying not to get into complex builds for a few months so that rules out starting the Zoukie Mura kits. Besides I am also awaiting MRP’s new IJA and IJN paints to use for the two Japanese subjects.

I have some great nose art for the two USAAF aircraft. I do like a nice colourful nude......

The Revell Spitfire will be the one to watch. I have some specific plans for this, correcting errors and depicting a specific Mk 1, so despite it being a simple basic kit my plans for it are not and I will be using more resin and doing more surgery on this kit than any other I have ever built. It will involve some very new territory for me. So that will be something of a complex build but I really want to get on with it, so will I be able to resist for the next six months or so?..... we will see....
The Stuka is one on my list at some point.

There’s a rack against the wall, but when that was full I ended up putting the rest on the floor in front of it.

Jakko,
I say again "you have more kits than my LHS" !!!!!! :smiling: :tongue-out3:

Paul.
:smiling:

Allen, I carried that ZM Ho229 for a friend all the way from Volks hobby shop in Akihabara...I would only build a ZM kit if really want to go berserk with detail.

Hi Richard,

And a heavy box it was, huh? I want to to go berserk with the ZM kits when I retire next year as then I don't have to scratch all the missing details. The same with the WNWs kit. I just want to have the time to give these kits the love they need. I've also been stocking up on references to help me out with them.

Armor is still my first love and of course my V2 project. I do have to clear out a lot of things that I will never build in this lifetime though.....

Prost
Allen

I’m like Richard I’m embarrassed to show mine I could start my own Hobby Shop with just the Millitary stash alone. Let’s not go to the Model Railroad side of this. I may get you guys some eye candy later through

Your such a tease Lee ;)

Not going to show you mine, as the main stash in the office/modelling room is too untidy. The mini-stash in the garage is a bit better. Then there's the micro-stash in the wardrobe...
Oh, and a few really old ones in the office drawers... and a box of models part-built in the sixties...
I must count them all sometime.
Pete

Oh come on Peter, bust out the old brownie instamatic camera and shoot a few pics. Then take them down to the corner store, get them developed and post them up for us.....Who cares if it takes a week to do it.........

Prost
Allen

PS, Do you still have flash cubes for the brownie???

You guys make me feel inferior as I only have 3 boxes under the bench, would have been four but I sold one today. I have one model under construction and awaiting delivery of two more kits.

Andy.

I dream of that too Allen.:smiling6:

Pete, I see you have some contingency hiding places in case SWMBO does a search. :smiling6:

Don't feel inferior Andy...I admire your restraint but beware after the tenth piece, you'll be joining us. :tears-of-joy:

Cheers,
Richard

I also tend to the minimal with my stash but it has grown a little this year. I used to buy a kit as I was finishing the previous one, but this year instead of toilet rolls I started to stockpile plastic.
The figures are for a small diorama I am starting to plan.
