John

Those trees have worked out very well indeed. That really is coming together nicely.

Greetings from the bunker here at Race Towers. What a miserable day, been raining nearly all day, so no gardening :crying:.

The good thing however was the outer frame has been assembled. Used double sided tape from 3M. What fun a stressful time trying to remove the top to expose the adhesive, consider it worse than joining plastic tracks !.

It works and is quick, but not easy.

First photo shows the base section of foam board in place, the masking tape was to help align it, as you get only one chance.

Side door to allow access to battery box.

Then came the supports to lift up the inner box in line with the surround card, see the lines on the inner side of the face.

With them in place the inner box is now the correct height.

The top is weighted down while the glue dries.

All in all a pleasant day, very enjoyable to see it come to plan.

Not long now until I can wire up the new battery box and have the first real look at those lights.
Cleaning up of that main front beam and a couple of side section to hold the box in position left to do.

Thanks for following and comments always welcome.

Dzhon.

Coming together John. Are you putting anything in the woods or just leaving it as trees.....

Nothing in the tress Tim, but the flashing lights. They are at the back. Representing the muzzle flashes.

Still loving it John - Great work !!
Thanks Nicholas.

Now I know what your doing! Those photos have really allowed the penny to drop on how this all goes together. Beautiful work my friend. The end is in site.

Steve to be true I nearly didn't bother with this outer case, just couldn't decided if it was too large. Happier now. Glad your now in step.:smiling3:

I think you are going to have to award yourself the DOG'S trophy here, John, this is just stonkingly good!

Thank you Neil, perhaps I could , and say it came from you .:smiling3::thumb2:
