60 years ago wow that is some time. She, being Pauline, has put up with me all that time.

Yes we have had a few barneys as we are both strong willed. However if you love some one
it cannot last long can it ? Also better off for it ( not at the time) as you learn more about your partner.

Production unit Two boys two girls all married. Pauline astounded me recently when she said
she would not have minded more. Oh heck. Also 4 grandsons great lads.

Me & her then.

Well Done to you both.........Congratulations on a fine achievement, very rare in today's world. I've only been at it for 44 years......feel like a puppy compared to you and your missus.
Cheers, Rick H.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Laurie on your 60th.

We would have properly celebrated our milestone Golden Wedding (50) in May 2000, but covid put pay to that!

Keep on trucking!

Many congratulations. These days a marriage that long is a massive achievement.

I was married to my first wife for nearly 20 years, she died 3 months before our 20th. We might well still be together if she had lived. Subsequent relationships not so good….

Ha ha. One thing i do like to do is play tricks on Pauline. So funny to see her run after me. But thankfully she is to slow.
Shopping is a very mundane task but made very nice by the two of us walking together chatting no better time.

Thanks Barry very much appreciated. Very sorry indeed to hear of your history Barry.

New relationships in middle age, although not experienced, I imagine difficult. Pauline & I met when 21. 22 (she is older :tongue-out:).
You grow together. Also 4 children cement it.

Very sad to hear of your experience & at such a young age. Best wishes from Pauline & myself.

Thanks Ron you young man just 50 years :smiling:

How can you live 60 years where did all those days go 22,000 days.
Ah well here come the next 4,000.

Actually I met Pauline 1.5 years before the 60. Gee I had to work hard to get her on side.
But if nothing else I have perseverance & determination. Paid off. Children appreciate it as well :tongue-out:

Congratulations Pauline and Laurie. So, is there a secret to a long marriage ?

Thanks Colin.

Yes there is a secret. Marry someone who is a good cook coupled with a man who appreciates it.

Actually just that we love each other very much. That is unbeatable.
