In for a penny. In for a pound so they say.

Wasn't happy with the tree at the very end of the dio. To me it just looked far too fake and imho, far too rubbish compared to the rest of the dio. And to my eye it detracted from the whole thing.

Here is the original tree which was made from nylon fibre and foam scatter

And here is the 'new' tree.

Cheers guys.

Just have to get myself some spray adhesive from Poundland then i'll get onto the foliage. Can't wait to see these trees when they are all foliaged up and creating some proper shade below.

Andy (Smythe Meister), so 2022 is take the p**s out of John year! Glad I can bring a bit of light to someone :smiling: ;). Maybe it was 1846. That could explain my obsession with the firearms of that era.
Alan, apologies for hijacking your thread.
John.

@The Smythe Meister (Andy) very kindly sent me these Hitlerjugend figures for my dio. As i've never painted figures before this could be total carnage. But it's something i am going to have to learn if i want to make dioramas in the future.

Nah Tim, I think that Alan is like me and loves headless figgies too. Painting faces are a real PITA, but I'm sure he'll do a good job on them....Go Alan, go.........................

You ever see the WWII German mosquito netting for helmets? Snipers also used it. Great for hiding bad faces.

Gate all glued. Tried to make it rustic with some 'planks' being slightly worn and off shape. Will let it dry overnight then try and make it more weathered
