What Do You Use to Access The Forum?

You don’t need the option “Both” if multiple votes are allowed, and I suggest replacing it by “Tablet” because I do use that but not a mobile phone :) Which is why I put “Other” as one of my choices, as I access this forum from either a desktop computer or a tablet.

I mostly use a tablet Dave. Just voted, but it wasn’t an option so went for “other”. I suppose in some ways it’s just a big phone ;)

I also suggest adding tablet, as I use all 3, depending on where I am and what I am doing.

No probs Dave, I’ve changed my vote to tablet :thumb2:

Depending where I'm in the Towers , PC and editing photos , Tablet if the PC is being used by Management or the phone .
Much prefer the PC

Tablet for me so much easier to use in the small room(like now actually just to prove a point). Dave

Most of the time I use an old laptop. Of an evening An even more decrepit iPad mini which has been sentenced to death by apple.
I have an new smartphone which is also handy.
In the Hobby room I have a "rather good" desk top PC.
So my real reply is all of the above! lol

Laptop and phone....

Most of my viewing and commenting is done on my phone.

Because of home life i.e. school age children, the evenings don't usually allow for long sessions on the forum, so the phone is great for grabbing five minutes here or there and quick updates such as latest arrivals or short comments on builds.

Updates on my builds tend to have to wait until the weekends and are done on my laptop.

Andrew

Ps this was done on my phone!

I'm interested to see that tablets are common - my experience with tablets was with early models, that had limited capabilities & even more limited battery life! My mobile phone has a limited data plan, I very rarely use that. My laptop lives in the bedroom, so I can go online if I have a sleepless night ( which is why you'll see some posts at an unearthly hour ). My main access is the PC in the living room - a comfy seat, a battered desk, just at the right height for mouse & typing, spaces for my mobile phone, my cordless phone, TV remote, PVR remote, and of course a space for liquid refreshment! I can sit there and not have to move, apart from comfort breaks, and filling the coffee/tea mug. I have all the recharging leads plugged in ready for use - very lazy, but ergonomically economical! ( but a nightmare like a snakes' wedding, with all those cables! )
Dave

Only use my phone with the home wifi , certainly not going to use data as don't have that much.Tablet batteries now are much better, mine will give at least 5 /6 hrs where as Managements Ipad will give at least 12.
Much prefer like you the PC.

John,
a 24" screen certainly helps! - A full size keyboard, as well - those touch keyboards on tablets & phones are too small for me ( not surprising why some people don't bother with punctuation! )
Dave

Checked both, which is true enough, but I use my laptop to access the site much more frequently than I use my phone.

I don't possess, nor want a mobile phone.
I type this with the only 'thing' I have. - A steam driven P.C.!

So, P.C. vote it is.....

As I said, I use the laptop to access the forum but I now take all pictures with my phone but load them to the laptop to resize before uploading, too easy to make mistakes when using the phone (for me anyway).

Andy.

My desktop computer has a big screen so I tend to use that for threads where there are photos. General chit-chat stuff I'll use the phone.

I thought I was the only person in the world who felt that way!
Jakko,
I don't know how it is where you are, but the number of public telephones in the UK has dropped drastically. Of the six that I remember locally, I believe that there's only one now. With the majority of people having mobiles, they're unused - so they disappear! If I'm out & about, then to get a taxi, you have to have a mobile.............

I subscribe about the difficulties to live in today's western society without a mobile, but I still have a phone that only "phones". I will not concede to the "smart" ones as long as I can (at least until the end of its battery lifetime...).
By the way, I use a desktop computer to join the Forum.
