It‘s not like you didn’t try Ian, so don’t beat yourself up over it :thumb2:
Thank You Tim. Means a lot to hear that once in a while.

Ian, is it ok for you or do i need to look at the size, 4:3 etc, no expert sorry

Its set to 4:3 8mp??
That is fine by me. The most important thing is that you have gotten it sorted so you can post photos and they are the right way up!
Your Casper looks a lot like our Valde. Big red and likes his comfort.

Our Valde (aka Jonny fartpants at the moment) is a poser! When asleep we get many "our cat is broken" pictures When awake he looks all sweet and innocent!

Hi Bob
Well done. Just shows that persistence pays off. I suppose it's because the photo is neither portrait or landscape. Puss cat looks to have this cold, miserable weather sorted.

Oh yes our moggies have a new religion, fire worshipping!!

Too true, he also sleeps with one eye open, spooky!!

That’s not a new religion. The fireside was the reason they decided to come and live with us back in the mists of time….
Do not forget, radiators, garden chairs in the sun, my lap, 3 beds, 2 settee, you get the drift lol

I have had to get a new phone, the old one fell out of suit jacket after the funeral and the cover did not do its job, its dead!

New one is a samsung A12 and yes

I have tried all the settings, no good, it also has the heif setting which is off. I give up!!

There's no point in my posting or replying to threads if this happens every time. Had enough.

Which way were you holding the phone?
Which setting did you have for screen rotation?
Are you uploading directly from phone or computer?

I will see if I can help work out why it isn't working

Hi Gary

Taken in both portrait and photo, tried screen rotation on and off and taken with phone upright as normal

Uploaded straight from camera??

ok, i will see if I can work out why uploading from the camera does this, it makes no sense to me.

i know there is a way to lock the rotation for upload, so need to work out where it is.

After a few tests I conclude that the pictures need to be landscape , or cropped from a portrait shot, which you can do in your camera app on the phone. It appears ( to me ) that the act of cropping it adjusts whatever the problem is into something the website is happy with.

Both of these are portrait pictures , first was edited/cropped on PC and uploaded , second was cropped on the phone and uploaded.

if you find the picture on phone you want to upload ( if its a problem photo ) , click the edit button , and crop it fractionally , save a copy.

If you click on the 1644078795167.png icon on the forum page on your phone , select the picture you cropped and saved a copy of , it should upload as per my pics above.

Hi Gary

Prior to you message I resized it, took a while to find it, totally different to my other samsung

That's what the forum is for, I am not doing much model-making at present due to some vision problems, but can try and help with non-model tech stuff.

Hi bud. Not wanting to pour cold water on your sense of achievement, but have you noticed that this picture is a mirror image?

I think that is the problem right there. Hold the camera on its side as in landscape pictures like a TV screen.
Post and see if that helps.
