The Jagdtiger main production utilised the 128mm Pak 44 L/55 gun.
Operational problems with this gun led to the proposal of installing the 88mm as used on the Jagdpanther.
Only one Jagdtiger was produced - designated Sd.Kfz 185 with the 88 mm L/71 gun.
About 12 of these Sd.Kfz 185 were built - but never completed due to lack of components.

That CSM kit looks very interesting Dave. At first glance it looks impractical, but after having a quick read up, I can see it’s on a transport cart, using light construction narrow gauge railways for final placement. As to the Jagdtiger, the 88mm version looks quite weedy in comparison to the “proper” gun.
Never saw pictured 'big box' version. Usually an AA mg placed there.

A metre long and only perhaps 25 cm wide (15 cm for the V1 and a bit more for the stuff beside the ramp), yes, that would go well on a window sill or a plank on the wall, I suppose.
They say dreams come true if you wait long enough!!! I've been after Didier at Azimuth to recast his launch ramp kit of this with no luck. The accurate Armour kit is long out of stock, crap and too expensive. Any idea when this will be released Dave???

Great subject, not sure of the first box art though. I assume the boxing just contains decals and colour scheme for Katy and that’s another option? Surely Katy would be in desert Camo?
