I think that this is the well known part of the particular vehicle depicted in the model. A Certain HRH learned to drive in it. Hence the L plate.
Interestingly I’ve seen this box art, which makes more sense to me Ian…

I think I read somewhere else that the plan was originally to release it with the figure, as a limited edition like it says on the box, but that didn’t go ahead for legal reasons.
Well, I think they could replace the "protected" figure with a Matron's one...

Be interesting to see when the first 1/35 scale modern farm tractors start to turn up.

an odd omission - I can only think of Thunder Models 1/35 Case Tractor. Heller did a few in 1/24 ( including the little grey Fergie ), and Revell do some snap togethers in the same scale, but 1/35 seems to have been ignored by the major makers...........
