Car looks fine John, 30s/40s cellulose wasn't usually as shiny as a modern car.

Looking good John. If you want to get that lovely cellulose “glow” give the car about a week for the paint to truly degas and harden off, then give it a light polish with Tamiya fine finishing compound and a soft cloth. On the other hand, you can leave it as it is because it looks fine anyway.

Coming along nicely John, figures are looking good, I haven't sprayed gloss paint before, some ideas would be useful.

Ah right , didn't want to spend that amount of time, esp as now I know the finish is ok for the time. Thanks Tim.

Graeme all I did was to use AK 3RD GEN Black followed by a couple of days rest and then some AK 3RD GEN GLOSS Varnish , mixed with their thinners (about 10 % and some drying extender ) Never sprayed a gloss coat like this, did it in full coats. Think dust is the biggest problem so covered it up for a couple of days. HTH.

Evening all , thought I would up date the figures photos, coming on but slowly due to so many colours involved.

Sorry about the blurring in some of the photos, the right eye is playing up a bit , think a trip to Vision Express is needed. They looked sharp when I took them.:disappointed:

It's all looking brilliant,John. I'd say you've got the green spot on for the advertising column, it's great to see it painted.

Thanks Neil, I just added some green to the wet pallet next to some black, it came out just as I wanted, so more by luck than judgement.

More wonderful work John, love the figures, never done any myself as the thought of painting figures scares me too much.

John,

Sorry for behind on this.... But the delay was worth the catch-up. That's really come on a lot. Love the figures and love the car.

That is going to be one very busy street scene......patience of a Saint, to be able to paint such a huge "population"! Keep at it JR, We're all waiting to see how the next phase of this epic build unfolds. :thumb2:

Just looked through the whole deal, and I now have a strange yearning for a Baggette and a latte ;)
