Every year on "Labor Day" ( a U.S. Holiday celebrating us Peons what earn wages, pay taxes and generally never get ahead) we have a car show in downtown Bigfork Montana. If you are interested, the following is just a little snap shot of a few of the many entrants.....enjoy. ;)P1012362.JPGP1012363.JPGP1012375.JPGP1012364.JPGP1012365.JPGP1012366.JPGP1012367.JPGP1012368.JPGP1012376.JPGP1012377.JPGP1012369.JPGP1012370.JPGP1012371.JPGP1012372.JPG

Very nice motors Rick .
The pick up trucks are very popular over here , I've cut out ply bases for the rear bay, a friend used to fit the metal floor trim and do the respray .

Excellent spread Rick. Love the yellow one and the mint green one especially. Don’t know American cars well enough to identify them though. The Coprrat rod is excellent as well.

Wow Rick, thanks for posting these up Buddy!!! What a flashback to the good ole days of real cars. A couple of great decals too. On the '49 Merc (Praise the Lowered) and the gray Studi station wagon (Your last ride is always a station wagon), gave me a good chuckle. The '57 Chevy wagon in the first pic is killer too. Lousy mileage with 6-71 blower on it though. Do you know if the '68 Camaro had a 396 or a 427 under the hood???

Tim, the yellow one is a Buick and the mint green one appears to be a Plymouth, though I'm not 100% sure. It's been chopped 'n dropped and has all the chrome emblems/identifying marks removed.

Prost
Allen

PS, ummm, nice row of Beetles too!!!....OR!!!.............

Excellent photo's Rick. Looks a great day out. Thanks for posting.
John.

Great pics and very nice cars Rick.
"Your last ride is always a station wagon" made me chuckle too! :smiling5:

Allen, I like Beetles too and I guess the car in the first picture is not yours! ;) (nor mine!).

Rick, thank you for posting. :thumb2:

Andrea

Some lovely cars there, never been a fan of the gassers so much but the lead sleds are so cool :cool:and who dosnt love a stepside.

Not a MoPar in sight 'cept maybe the COPERRAT. That rad shell is unknown to me. Fat fendered Mercs abound. Is that a Carson top Rick? Thanks for sharing.

Gorgeous selection of motors there rick , thanks for taking the time to share them . Absolutely loving the mercs and lead sleds and the 57 nomad is a beast ! I love this stuff , cheers tony

I believe the Camero was a 396 .......the mint green is a Chopped '50 Mercury. And believe it or not the "Featured" Marque at this years show.........yep, the Beetle!

Oh there were a couple.......just didn't catch my eye........I don't know about the rad shell on the Coperat but I don't think there is a square inch on that ride that hasn't been tweaked. I suspect you may be right it certainly looks like a Carson......the pics don't do that Merc justice, up close it was drop dead gorgeous!

It was a pleasure putting these pics. up and I'm glad you folks enjoyed the little bit of "Americana" I was able to share with you. :thumb2:
Rick H.

We really did Rick, but the big question remains, for Andrea and me......Did you at least get "Beetles" phone #???.......

I'm not really into this custom cars idea but I do marvel at the time and money that must have been lavished on these creations. They certainly are eyecatching.
