Rick, yes, I would agree, Airfix got this right. It is a really nice kit.Just had a read through and am very impressed with this build. Seems Airfix got it right....good progress on this Colin.....looking forward to the shiney stuff.![]()

Your very lucky to find it in all that fluff Colin. And this chaps, is why we don’t vacuum the floor during a build.
Found it. After emptying my bin, the vacuum cleaner was next on the list, and there it was. The hydraulic ram from one of my Mustang landing gear doors.
I could have sent him mine. I did not use them on mine. The wheel covers are closed when they are parked, so I didn't have to do to much in the wheel wells lol.Your very lucky to find it in all that fluff Colin.
They are, but as the hydraulics 'relax' they fall open. Which is really unfortunate as when hydraulic pressure is restored on engine start up, the doors close rather quickly. The wheel covers are closed when they are parked,
It was a very satisfying moment.Your very lucky to find it in all that fluff Colin
It is. I really wanted something more 'up market' but could only find the Airfix at short notice - but what a find it was.looks a lovely kit to build
