Ive now finished the painting,i think!
All the blue bits are blue using mr hobby gloss, wheels and struts in mr hobby fine silver, wing tanks and canopy in vallejo metal, decals next. May have to paint the rudder thingy again, looks like its pickled a bit,mr hobby blue didnt like the vallejo flat black it went over by the looks of it,didnt let it dry long enough! The nose of the plane was blue over mr hobby flat black so should be ok. 20220921_192720.jpg20220921_192754.jpg20220921_193034.jpg20220921_193144.jpg20220921_193340.jpg

After wrecking my Tamiya kit I'm looking at these offerings from Eduard, are they their usual levels of great kit.

Personally i think this is a great kit, thoroughly enjoyed building it so far.

That's sweet Mark , great painting and what a difference that blue makes .

Just had a catch up, Mark. Very nice model, indeed. I'm amused by those details and your results.
My only and absolutely positive experience with Eduard ProfiPack is in 1/72, but it seems that even in 1/48 they are producing very high standard kits.
Hope my wallet will resist... ;) I have too many already started projects...:rolling:

Been plugging away at the decals, just a couple more to do now, remembered its gonna need some exhausts so made a start by by drilling them out and hoping that drill was going in dead straight! Luckily it did .20221001_195337.jpg

Looking good Mark. She was a stunner before the decals but now they're on she really pops. Well done drilling the exhausts - 12 out of 12 :tongue-out3:

Need a gloss coat to seal in the decals but looking at the wing tanks thought i would get them done first ,the mounts are some etch pieces of which are the only option then realising they are going to be fragile expecially when the tanks are mounted ,the only way im not gonna keep knocking them off i was to fit the landing gear, did want to do this after all the painting was complete but hey ho! A little scrape with a blade here and there and there in. Moral of this story is to attach the tanks to the pylons first then fit to the wing.......as per instructions :rolling: 20221002_210620.jpg20221002_210738.jpg20221002_211046.jpg

Superb detailing Mark. Love those tank mounts, that’s something that etch does really well.
