An Ebay 'best offer' purchase..................

being trying a few 'best offers' recently - success rate is less than 1/10, tricky to post a 'best offer' that is acceptable, and not insulting!
Dave
I just go straight to insulting and hope for a sensible counter offer, though I noticed a while back best offer was a default setting when listing.

A fast delivery from the Scale Model Shop, thanks John.

Andy.

Thats because you're mixing all these float thingy colors with it 'Admiral'......................

Anyway, I haven't been a good boy either and evilbay has struck twice again. First,

I bought this kit cheap because I can't find the AFV kit of their roadwheels/track set AF35043 and I needed the 2 A sprues,

These went into my AFV 251/21 'Drilling' kit which was missing them. If one day I do find the set AF35043, they'll go into this kit. The next one is interesting as it's sold as a bulge pack and comes without destructions and the regular carton,

It's a re-make of the 2005 ICM kit by Revell. Revell re-made this in 2013, and again in 2021 (with paints & glue). The decals are dated 2021 and I have already gotten the destructions downloaded. Best thing was the price.......€16 delivered...An offer I couldn't refuse!!!...

So Younger than me, do I take it you are going to add the Panther hull to the half track and have 'Alf a Panther' - I'll get my coat, someone start the car....
Prost
Older than you.....

Thanks for offer Andy, but then you will be cannibalizing your kit's Buddy. I'm sure you'll get to build them both, in time.......

I have thought about that Pete. The prob is the kits were evilbay buys, with no guarantee. If I just tried to order the set from Taiwan, it would end up costing more than it's worth or finding something cheaper on evilbay......
Allen,
Try Dawn Grocery, I have dealt with them a lot and they offer a good service, they advertise on evilbay mainly.

My Xmas pressie arrived......I know what it is but you'll have to wait until the big day......
Is it from the same bearded lady with high heels and fish net stockings that sends me my reading material.....

I think evilbay will be the death of me yet. But when the price is right, ya just gotta have it......Sorry Dude 2, please look away now,

Comes with metal barrels and had a €20 price tag...3, 2, 1, mine, mine, mine!!!! And I needed this (got 1 already, but) for a little project blowing around the empty spaces in my melon since July...........

When I picked up my order from Blast Models at the WME in Eindhoven, I grabbed this set too, for a little Kubelwagen build,

The vehicle actually existed and isn't a 1946 thing. 3 of them were captured around Fallingbostel, Germany in 1945...

Oh, and the Kubelwagen in the stash is needed for something else................

Not very exciting but I'm pleased.
My Optivisor is getting on for 10 years old and the padded leather comfort band had gone all sort of perished and manky. Ten years of sweaty forehead :rolling:
Found a seller of replacements.

Fits perfectly.
Hello Jim,
I use a sheet of folded kitchen towel.

Dude 1.
Suppose you'll come up with the perfect excuse to why you had to buy them ?
The local housing regulations might have ideas about reinforcement to your floors at the rate you are going .

Don't blame me for the rain either , it's the fault of the French this time .;)

Ill just edit that poor spelling before anyone notices lol.
Well BLIMEY..
I only went and won it !!.....
... Paid a bit more than I was hoping, but having said that, there's etch, and more importantly,a canopy mask included :smiling3:

Hi all

So I recently got round to making sure the most recent wingy arrivals all have canopy masks.....as the Italeri Stirling was only released in July, I've had to wait a few months for Eduard to even make them.

Had to order from a supplier in Poland I've used quite a bit. They were the only one had all of the masks in one place....and in a couple of cases the only supplier that had them at all....and they were cheapest where someone else did have have them, so no choice. Their P&P though is actually pretty reasonable (less than £4). I also had quite a few points with them from previous purchases and so the cheapest mask was actually free.

The Halifax mask also contains the masks for the roundels and plane ID letters. I could find no masks for the Airfix Hampden and so took a punt on the set for the Valom offering.....hope they work ok.

As for the etch for my Stirling....why not! :smiling5:

Delivery!

After my original quick release coupling for my airbrush packed in the other day, I realised how much hassle it saved me in changing & cleaning the brush ( not having to bleed the tank down ). Couldn't do without it - so £5 delivered is really worth it - an essential airbrush accessory!
