Latest Acquisitions (2022)

Another FAA subject, as well as the box art it also has markings for one stationed in Ballyhalbert, Co. Down, which gives local (Sort of.) interest, though that one remains in the US paint scheme so it could make a nice break on my RAF journey.
Now it does hint that the wings can be folded in the instructions, but no actual steps to do so......

Dude 1 If that kit can be built in 3 ways , that unfortunately means you have sold 5 and bought 5.:crying:

Thanks for the heads up, Dave. Might I ask what glue you used as I've never built a Master Box kit before...

Very true Rick. But hey, just go ahead and do the scratchy Bro. I did make a mistake and should have bought the other Trumpy kit with 3.7cm FlaK 37 on it. When I looked in the stash, I saw I had Trumpy's towed 5.5cm FlaK 41. I could have used that kit to make this version as I need the trolleys from it for something else. DOH!!!...It's all good..........

Prost
Allen
I would have used Tamiya Extra Thin - not with any great success
Dave

Thanks for the info, Tim and Dave......

Sorry, but it's only one vehicle Dude 2. It can be built in 3 versions though...Score stands, 5 sold, 2 bought..........

I have 3 or 4 in the stash, and the Mustang one wasn't that succesful for me so far, One disasyer and only one weekend to go to get the second finished........though a Pacific Air war GB would have more scope........

To anyone who has these so called 'Awful' diddy Airfix pot paints, I'll take them. Because I brush paint, I'm more than happy with the results obtained.

Likewise, the little tubes of polystyrene glue.

Thanks.
Ron
DM me Ron and I'll send them to you

My thoughts exactly Ian....I had a look only yesterday and couldn't see it.

@Tim Marlow can you assist please?
Hi both, difficult to say categorically without having it in my hand, but the ones I used in pharmaceuticals usually had an O ring up in the female barrel of the click on part……..assuming yours are like the Bartsharp ones here…
https://www.bartsharpairbrush.co.uk/product/airbrush-quick-disconnect-18th-bsp-female-18th-bsp-male/
….it will be inside the push on part with the release toggle. The O ring seals into the “notch” on the male part.

Same. Will have a closer look. Thanks!!

Hi all

So another anonymous pre-birthday arrival.....it had looked like this would have to be a joint birthday/christmas present but the committee came through with the funds!!

A BIG thanks to @Bobthestug for his input on this (no spoilers on this please Bob! ;) )

The big reveal will be next weekend!

ATB.

Found this in a charity shop being annoyed as I gave mine away 4 years ago part started I had a quick look and I seemed to be nicely built so far I got home and had a closer look and lo and behold it's the very same one I gave to charity having got bored with it.
I only paid £15 it's for charity so I am not that bothered about it.IMG_20221126_125753.jpg
