Anyone remember this?!! 
... So then,after spending quite a while doing my latest Tankie thing, it was time to return to my Defiant
Put the wings together, quite a few bits for these already (7 so far!),but here they are under duress
Some other tiny bits you can see there,they just need painting and added to the fuselage when it's together.
..... Talking of which
... Here's some of the cockpit stuff..
Stuck one side in...
... Going together really well so far,and my basic painting may just get away with it once it's all buttoned up?!
Anyway,KARL outta look away now..
... Because the worst kind of cheating is coming up!!

Yep,the kit part on the left,and my CHEAT PART on the right... Sorry Karl... But I'm going with the cheat option !!
..... That's it so far chaps, should get an update on again tomorrow evening

HA! Yeah.. I probably seemed like it due to the delay,but that was purely down to my Cromwell build! This has ALWAYS been one of a favourite plane of mine.. so never would've been forgotten
Yes Tim,they do look very nice,and actually don't cost that much... however, getting this one to fit took me AGES , and involved a LOT of filing/rotary tool, shenanigans
It's in there now.. I just hope it ends up worth the effort!!

NOW THEN Guys, I've done some more... But as stated above,it took AGES to get that panel to fit... and then I attempted to join the two fuselage halves !!....
One think I'm getting to recognise here,(and as an AFV builder I should've already been used to it!!)..is that you seem to paint an AWFUL LOT of stuff that just vanishes as it comes together... that's just down to being such a nube as far as planes go I guess... I'll learn
anyway here's the two halves being persuaded that they're wanting to be together...
Actually, it's not an effortless fit,but that could be down to me..no matter what, it'll be ok in the end

.. anyway, I've been bashing away on this one,and despite my ineptitude,it's actually coming together rather well (Credit Airfix, not me!!),There are a few points where I need to revisit... but for now this is how it's looking...

And some stuff for the Aircrew,thanks to Steve here,and the gunner will be chopped about a bit later ...
A bit of basic paint going on there in prep for the proper stuff
Here's the gun turret...
Looking forward to painting this up,and moving on!!
One problem mind .... The kit is great,but imho the instructions are crap....
LOADSA detail... But absolutely NO CLUE about colours,tints or anything really... Quite poor I think!!
