I feel your pain Chris, a few years ago I had a huge kidney stone in my left kidney, ended up having surgery to remove it, and a stent fitted to assist with the residual bits being 'flushed' out naturally, talk about pain...crikey it was a killer, although the pain after the stent was removed a couple of weeks later was horrific..... and I ended up peeing blood for about a month.

The one bit of advice the docs did give me was to drink loads of water which will help dilute down the crystals that form to make the 'stones',

Glad all is well again and it was not stones. By the way. If you have hard water (as in chalky) you would be wise to either a filter or not drink too much of it as just water.
Kidney stone is basically chalk drinking hard water could make them bigger!
A glass of water with a tea spoon of citric acid in the morning is a good help. Or a whole fresh lemon squeezed into the water. (real men just take the lemon juice as a shot!)
As for the blader infection. Jep got that. Cranberry juice (If you can get that in England ) is very good at beating that down.

Stomach acid is made from about 2M hydrochloric acid Ian. Lemon juice won’t make much difference to that….doesn’t worry me though, I actually like eating lemon slices when they come in drinks…..in fact, I like all my citrus fruit on the sharp side :thumb2:
Cranberry juice is usually recommended for cystitis, so it must help bladder infections as well.
