Two years Ian??? You're still early...my dioramas take ages to complete nowadays. :tears-of-joy:
You'll need mosquito repellant as well and a fly swatter somebody is bathed in sweat and attracting flies in the rabble mix. Some haven't left their seats the past two years.
How are you with local spicy food? My Chinese chef is preparing dinner with left over monkey bits.

Cheers,
Wabble

Those monkeys are amazing. As for slow dio making - yours are worth the wait.

Thanks Jim, life's too short so I'd better speed things up. So many in the pipeline. I can basically visualise what they look like when finished, it's just the process that's time consuming. Don't they come just like in instant noodle packs? Wishful thinking. :tears-of-joy:

Don't worry guys...not a build related injury, couldn't have nicked my right index finger as I'm right handed. In my haste to sweep I missed grabbing the broom and a splinter got jammed under my nail. Short Hanoi Hilton excruciating experience there. I managed to dig half of the splinter with my left hand and needle but the rest stayed imbedded. SWMBO googled a remedy to apply a vinegar and baking soda paste wrapped in plaster for 24 hrs would draw the splinter out...let's see.

Ow….hope that doesn’t get infected…….splinters are what fine modelling tweezers were made for though…..I think I use mine more for getting gardening splinters out of SWMBO that I do for modelling.

Thanks guys...it has moved and appears to have been drawn out a little. Will apply more paste and wait for progress. Still too deep for tweezers.

Quite amazed by that. All you are doing is making carbon dioxide and sodium acetate……it will probably work itself out anyway….just keep it sanitised.

If it gets bad I'll only count up to 9.:smiling6:

I was once prescribed magnesium sulphate paste to draw out a splinter that had become infected. Seemed to work.

I had to look that up, and now know how it works :thumb2: Once again, the rabbit hole magnet that is this forum improves my knowledge.

I have used banana skin for the same purpose Richard - just tape on a small section (inside to the wound) - it's been most successful in drawing splinters, thorns and similar beasties out!

Apart from smelling nice like bananas, thanks.

Guess what I found at a stationery shop...not the bag full of CNY biscuits but scaled bamboo plants for architectural dioramas. All that tedious scratching and this turns up. :smiling6:

Not only that Richard, but those ready made bamboo don't look anywhere close to the quality of your own renditions! :thumb2:
