Nice one Si. I was expecting it on its side on a sea bed. lol. But she does look good.
Monserrat would love it.

Thank you Ian. The original idea was to have her on the seabed however, size, she is over 2 ft long and the added weight of the coating and then the board it would just have been impossible to do any work on the workbench LOL. Plus storing would be a nightmare, in fact the missus doesn't really want it and I have no room in the shed...it could well be going.

Utterly superb, and so far 'off the wall' as to provide inspiration for us lesser modelling mortals - (I may be bold enough, and imaginative enough) to try something 'similar'. Well done again mate!
Steve

That is absolutely crustastic Si !! Superb rusty crusty wrecked effects , cheers tony

Lovely work Si.
You have just re-ignited my interest in a project I researched a couple of years ago, the wreck of HMAS Parramatta on the Hawksbury River in New South Wales., but I think it would have to be a total scratch build, which is why it went on the back burner.
If I can find a kit* to base it on, maybe it will be a goer again.
* Any help there anyone?

UPDATE.

I was never really happy with the clean, shiny look of the plaques. Somehow they didn't look right for the model so, spent this afternoon turning anodised aluminium and laminated plastic into something that looked older.
