What flew over your house (yesterday)

That’s probably what I heard when I was working in my garage then…….wish I’d gone out and looked now :sleeping2:
I did see it but as it passed behind buildings so wouldn't of been able to get a pic... sounded bloody lovely!

They always do…….used to see quite a few in Salisbury, but not so common out here.

One of these going at quite a lick to quick to get a picture quite different from the usual diet of merlin and wildcats1-image-24.jpg

Not exactly flying over the house but had 6 tank transporter blast past on the motorway the other day...
The first Danish F35 should have put in a ture/lap of DK, Sunday but didn't see anything.?

" The triumph of brute force over aerodynamics " - think it was said about the Bumble Bee, but applies to helicopters as well!

Didn’t a student once prove that according to current aerodynamics laws a bumble bee couldn’t fly?

Rotary wing theory of flight!!! Nows there's a subject to do your head in!! Advancing and retarding blades, rolling couple!!!!! I'm getting a headache just remembering some of the terms!!!!

Lots of noise outside just now, and I could just grab my iPad to take this photo of the source of it:

We had about 500 fly past yesterday. They rest up in the adjoining fields to our garden. Seeing a huge flow of geese flying right at you is a bit scary lol.

This was the second batch yesterday, another came across a few hours earlier but headed more to the right. Hopefully they stuck to the land instead of going out towards the sea and eventually the English Channel.

Not over my house but where I'm working, one for @Waspie

Here you go Doug...

Eee By Gum - many a happy hour or spent in the wee beastie. Definitely happy memories. Basic is an understatement when used in regard to the Wasp. Think I have 12/1300 Hours logged in it.
Wonder which one it was? Either Terry Martins, (XT787) or John Heath's Wasp. They are both serviced at Chard I believe. XT787 being part of the Royal Navy Heritage Flight. ( Link )
