I dug this out today to see if I was going to build it, or something else.

Some lovely detail and no flash.

So I thought I would cut off a few parts and see what the fit was like but I got a little carried away.

I woud say that the modern Hasegawa kits are up there with Tamiya for moulding and fit.
Perhaps a bit of priming tomorrow and then decide on a colour as I am not keen on the orange called for in the instructions.

Quite a fiddly wee thing with 7 decals in there but when assembled they will never be seen, but I know they are in there. ;)
Obviously needs dirtying up a bit before fitting the sides/windows etc.
Not too keen on the orange colour called for the main body in the instructions so I mixed up a yellowish one of my own which I think looks OK in the pot, hope it looks right on the model as I will only paint it once.

Some more work done today, bit of mild chipping on the rear chassis section trying not to go overboard with it.

And her ladyship in the cab, not fixed yet just to see how she looks in there.

All comments cc's welcome.

Nice work. Chipping is excellent. Too often it is overdone, but this is nicely restrained.

Hi Andy
An interesting subject to build. Off to a fine start. The cab looks very nice and Mrs Driver looks to fit naturally. I agree with Tim regarding the chipping - realistic and not overdone.

Slowly getting there, dry fit to see how it looks with a bit of paint on.

Tomorrows weather does not look good for motorcycling so I might get a bit more done.

A few little bits to fix yet, cab door and roof which needs a little tweaking to fit, steps, lights, mirrors, rear mudwings, the wipers will be fitted after a light weathering.

That's all the bits stuck together now and just needs a light dust coat and it will be done, if the paint goes well.
