1/8 Commander Kate Shepard (Mass Effect Trilogy)

Thread owner
For those of you not in the know, Mass Effect is an award-winning SF shooter / RPG, following the adventures of Earth Alliance N7 Special forces operative, Commander Shepard, in their three-game fight as captain of the frigate Normandy against the inimical ancient AI race, the Reapers. Action, adventure, romance, explosions, parties, and a fabulous cast of companions and other characters, all heavily inspired by the Babylon 5 TV series (which is never a bad thing!)
The lead character is popularly known as Broshep (male) and Femshep (female)

3D print figures often come with great slabs of a base. I'm trying to collect as many of the main Normandy crew / companions as possible, with the intention of putting them on a single base. Eventually

The figure comes with a printed Omni-blade (holographic melee weapon) and an Avenger assault rifle. I replaced the moulded part with a triple ply set of clear, yellow and red plasticard.
When not in use, in the game, shoulder arms fold up and are fitted to the back of the armour, but this printing was too nice to cut up. I'll have to scratch a facsimile up sometime

That's a fine result. The eyes are beautiful and they are often the hardest part.

Cheers. True, even with a magnifier. My brother-in-law found a set of multi-scale eye decals, which I think is cheating!

Great job steve , face is stunning . Figures and bust painting is something Ive always admired and been scared by , although recently Ive persevered and I’m enjoying it now. Just got another in fact ., cheers tony

The next big figure I should be finishing is Femshep's girlfriend, Dr Liara T'Soni, who has a ridiculously complicated face in something like five shades of blue, including freckles. That may take a while...
