1/8 Commander Kate Shepard (Mass Effect Trilogy)

Thread owner
For those of you not in the know, Mass Effect is an award-winning SF shooter / RPG, following the adventures of Earth Alliance N7 Special forces operative, Commander Shepard, in their three-game fight as captain of the frigate Normandy against the inimical ancient AI race, the Reapers. Action, adventure, romance, explosions, parties, and a fabulous cast of companions and other characters, all heavily inspired by the Babylon 5 TV series (which is never a bad thing!)
The lead character is popularly known as Broshep (male) and Femshep (female)

3D print figures often come with great slabs of a base. I'm trying to collect as many of the main Normandy crew / companions as possible, with the intention of putting them on a single base. Eventually

The figure comes with a printed Omni-blade (holographic melee weapon) and an Avenger assault rifle. I replaced the moulded part with a triple ply set of clear, yellow and red plasticard.
When not in use, in the game, shoulder arms fold up and are fitted to the back of the armour, but this printing was too nice to cut up. I'll have to scratch a facsimile up sometime

That's a fine result. The eyes are beautiful and they are often the hardest part.

Great job steve , face is stunning . Figures and bust painting is something Ive always admired and been scared by , although recently Ive persevered and I’m enjoying it now. Just got another in fact ., cheers tony

The next big figure I should be finishing is Femshep's girlfriend, Dr Liara T'Soni, who has a ridiculously complicated face in something like five shades of blue, including freckles. That may take a while...

Oh wow! That Omni-blade is stunning. I can see it glowing! At first I thought it's a render, then realised it's a real thing and someone did some amazing painting job, and finally I read, you did it by yourself... Wow!

That, is very kind of you. Wow. Best compliment I've received
Yeah, the Omni-blade took a lot work, but you can tell it's not generated because the lines are so wobbly!

Now, doing Liara's biotics may be a problem as I don't have any clear blue sheet. Tali'Zorah's visor will be 'fun', but at least I chose not to get the figure that's sitting on Ch'tika here holo-drone!
...though I could make a clear mould of that...

I zoomed in, and indeed, if you zoom enough they are slightly wobbly. But I think it might be, that those small irregularities are in fact creating that impression of this highly energetic buzzing glow. I guess this was intentional but in case it wasn't it looks so good, you can definitely claim it was ;-)

Can't wait to see it! Especially Quarian's visor. You've set the bar high.

Liara is next and Garrus is undercoated, but I have to make new guns for them both. Still hoping to get an Ashley Williams figure, though the only ones available are ME3, and there's no Kaidan at all. Jack and Miranda should get a look in too, probably
Maybe

Thought femsheps first name was Jane??

Just finished playing the trilogy (and all DLC's) through again last month. Superb games that runs well on budget machines.

Oh, and ME3's Ashley is far more attractive than 1&2. ;)

Ah, you see, Shepard's first name is whatever you want it to be, right from character creation where you can set background. Each one of my six-or-seven different Sheps (depending on character class) have a different first name, so I can tell them apart. Even though it says whether they're Biotic, Soldier, Engineer, whatevs on the loading screen. Just have to remember how Nova Blast works for the Vanguard...
Likewise, Gothshep here was my Vanguard, and there is actually an alternate Bishojo statuette (now long since unavailable and invisible on auction sites) with black hair. Half the time I make the armour Red when you have the option in ME2, so I was a little tempted here

As to Ms Williams, I'm just not convinced by her mini-skirt Spectre armour. Someone said, in 1 & 2, she seems much more professional with her hair tied back!

'Citadel,' second best DLC of any game any franchise anywhere ever. 'I like your outfit.'

One day, we may still get ME5, which they've been teaser trailering for FIVE YEARS now!

Excellent work Steve. Black is not an easy colour to get right, and you have nailed it here. Great animation vibe going on as well. Never get boob plate armour myself, but that’s on the sculptor and animators, not you….

The black is just rattle can Halfords undercoat, with different gloss or semi-gloss oversprays. Oh, and some grey spotting to look like carbon-fibre on the catchlight

Some game characters are just too detailed for HD, and Shep is from 2012!
