'A Tale of Two Horses' RDG Miniatures 1/9th Burthe and Trumpeter Bust

Excellent painting, Steve. I have one little nit-pick though. Nothing to do with your painting, more the fault of the sculptor. The horse appears to have too many teeth. This is a common fault with sculpts of horses in all scales. There should be 6 teeth at the top and the same at the bottom. Sorry to be negative, I remember the dental work I had to do on the mounted figure of Salah ad Din.

slowly slowly catchie monkey, or on this case the horses bridle's. I will leave off the mouth "bit's" and reign attachments till the end. I know I will only knock them all off. Need to paint burthe's horses lips and teeth

Marvellous work, Steve. The studded bridle on Burthe's horse must have driven you cross-eyed.
John.

I must have missed this somehow, the paintwork on the horses is something else, great skills you have there Steve.

Andy.

Trying to find words to exclaim how good I think these are with out going to the swear box is really hard.
Amazing just dont do it.
Agree that the studded bridle would have driven most people to drink!

Outstanding!

That last photo looks like they have just heard a really funny joke and are in fits of laughter.

got the trumpeters body painted and his head glued on. also the horse is painted along with the trumpeters breeches. just the red triangles to paint in. All painted in Oils over an acrylic base.
just the Eagle bearer and col burthes bodies to paint and they can then be added to there mounts.
