discussion Airbrushing Chrome Liquid

Just bought a cheapo airbrush from Amazon and a bottle of DSPIAE Silver Chrome marker refill.
Seen good things about this stuff and hoping to use it for the Chrome parts on my upcoming car builds.
Also got a bottle of 99.9% IPA from my local hardware shop for cleaning purposes.

Been using an AK Interactive Chrome marker, but not entirely happy with the results.
Too many Chrome paints just look Silver with no mirror finish at all.

Any other recommendations from others on here?

I'm a fan of Alclad chrome, or SMS hyperchrome, which is available in different tints.

I've just started another bike build which has quite a bit of chrome and I'll be starting that first as it's quite a long process.

To get the spay chrome to look like chrome plating, then you got to get a near perfect smooth finish to the job first, then you got to spray it with a good undercoat, smooth that out with about 800 or 1200 wet and dry and then give it couple of wet coats with black. When DRY it's time to do another rub down with 1200, to get that nice clean smooth finish to it.

After all this, you can then spray the chrome.

This somehow allows the chrome to get a good depth of shine to it, choice is yours to make.

Preperation is the key, to a good chrome finish.

i am going to try over a Black primer and on its own.
Mainly want it for things like badges and hub caps, my models are not of nice shiny vehicles.
