I'm ok with 1:72 at the moment, but am thinking, build 1:72 now, saving the bigger scales for the future. My eyes really struggle with these 1/72 planes
It is! it’s a great kit by the way, theyve done a great job here. i’d say; don’t delay and give in to your instinct!Russell
Looking good.
Out of interest, which version is it? I'm doing my utmost to resist buying this one...

Hi TonyLooks a lovely kit russel , nice primer job . Am I right in thinking Airfix have provided mask covers for the wheel wells !? If so then they should be applauded , cheers tony
Yes they have! and the closed bomb bay is one piece so can be used to mask if you’re doing an open bay, which I am.Looks a lovely kit russel , nice primer job . Am I right in thinking Airfix have provided mask covers for the wheel wells !? If so then they should be applauded , cheers tony
Therein lies a tale…I was masking the canopy myself but because you have gaps either side it’s quite flimsy and cutting one section I put too much pressure on and snapped it. If I hadn’t, you’re right, it would be glued on now. I am going to have to use the bubble top replacement canopy which isn’t strictly Mk XVI but does appear on the B35. History buffs will notice. But i am also waiting for a masking set now too so as to avoid risk is snapping this one as well.I like those MASK parts. I just wonder why they didn’t provide one for the cockpit copy too — maybe the designers assumed everyone glues that on before painting?
Cockpit copy? I wonder what letters I missed there to cause autocorrect to turn into “copy”. I meant “canopy”.cockpit copy
