So very true. The question then becomes how far can we push her tolerance for stash+N
I think deep down we are all collectors and hoarders,Ive spoken to others who have 500 plus kits and phew seems a lot.I think for me buying a few kits tends to be retail therapy and brightens a down period.
We sure do have collectors syndrome holding more kits than we would ever build, it just feels good to buy stuff, when it turns up in the post or bring it home from the model shop, this brings about a squirt of endorphins in the brain causing a sense of elation! . . . and then it goes into the stash never to be seen again until a thread like this comes along.
Probably most of us have way too many modelling tools and stuff than we really need for that 'just in case' scenario.
I use the 'I'm saving and preparing for my retirement' when I won't need to buy anything further, missus Miko isn't as convinced as I had hoped!
Miko (the thrill is in acquisition not the possession, or it's the journey rather than the destination)

WELL Miko ive only got about 6 kits mind you they are big kits so i havnt got collectors syndrome but if it makes you guys happy then why not if you can afford it

Yes Miko i tend to agree.Its nice when i come in sometimes and Postman has left me a nice parcel in our porch.Maybe sad to some but bit of shopping is good therapy on a dull day.

Yep, carefully opening the packaging to release the kit is indeed a treat!
