Don't know about anyone else but I was starting to have withdrawal symptoms !
Glad it's back on line, so thank you who ever sorted it out .

There was "An incident" at the server that took the engineers most of the first day to fix. Then John had to sort out some issues with getting it up and running again.
Due to unknown reasons I would not let him log in to reboot the forum, so a good part of a day went with sorting that out.
Hope that you all found something else to do in the down time.

Thanks to John then for giving up his time , we really appreciate it .
Normal service has returned, you never no how much you like something until it's gone !

I actually had to spend time talking to the family, and what a weird few hours that was... they're bonkers..

At one stage I did take to finding Mr Race on the ole 'book of face' just to ask if he knew any reason the site would be unavailable.....(I did think for a while that Mrs L had found out how to block a website so I could do some home improvements she has come up with...lol)

sudo nano /etc/hosts, type your password, press Return, then add the line 127.0.0.1 www.scale-models.co.uk to the end of the file :)

For Linux this will update your hosts file so that it will point the forum address back to your own computer and effectively block you from accessing the site, you can do the same thing on a windows machine if you want to limit someone’s access to the internet.
