Airfix 1/72 Cessna O-1A Bird Dog, an old 70's bubble-pack kit which I finished in Thai markings using home-made decals. The windows were the biggest issue with the model; I used the kit windscreen/rear window but replaced all the others with acetate. It's also re-scribed and I added a few details inside and out.

Stunning work,

makes me think I still have a lot to learn.

You know there are builders on here that can make you want to go out and buy a kit you wouldn't even look twice at in a shop !

This is one of those times , this is simply stunning well done

Hi Mike

I'm running out of superlatives for your builds!

Superb finish and detail that's even more incredible given the model's size.

Beautiful

Well spotted Ian, I knew he had some trick :)

Seriously though that's another beautiful little model, about as good as it gets.....fantastic.

Cheers

Beautifully clean work mike , ive always had a soft spot for this kit , it was one of the very first i can remember doing as a kid. This was in SAMI a few months back if i recall correctly, great build mike , cheers tony

Beautiful build Mike. The Cessna Bird Dog is a great little machine, it was originally based on the Cessna 170 design. Seen a few here in NZ, they can sure operate out of some tight spots. Apparently they also handle very nicely.
