Hello!

My name is Del, joined and decided to subscribe immediately after I browsed the forums and saw how helpful you all are, the skill level is really impressive and I really am looking forward to picking up some advice from you all!
I used to concentrate my modelling during my Air Training Corps days but it's all changed, my love is WWII aircraft but I hope to expand on that! So after a 40 year gap it's fair to say I'm a Humbrol No 101..(Green)

I live in Bucks and after 30 years in the Police I retire in August so I will be looking to fill the void!

Thanks for listening!

Del.

Welcome to the asylum, you'll find all the help you need from us loonies...

Welcome onboard, aboveboard or belowboard but one thing for sure this is a great board.
And an early welcome to the retarded community, but don't worry about filling any voids, if you think drinking coffee and eating donuts was staying busy you are in for a surprise, you will be busier that you ever are working, just ask your wife, might want to hold off on retiring so you can enjoy your later years. Have a close friend that is retired RCMP, two months after he retired he started driving a school bus to keep busy but alas you have a former modeling career to fall back on, you're good to go, hope you have started marking off territory so you have room to work and advise her that you will be making a monthly donation to the benevolent retired police officer fund (namely you) you will have to pay for this hobby somehow. :upside:

Del,
welcome to the forum - you'll find lots of like minded friends here.............
Whatever your skill level, you will pick up hints & tips, from the widest range of modellers, making the widest range of models. maybe persuade you to have a try at something new................

A warm welcome Del, from me as well. A great site where no doubt you will make some great friends.

Hello Del, a common story, a big gap then the return - normally followed by some sort of shock at how much has changed !

Sorry missed your hello!!

Don't give up on your son. Mine started when he was only 6. He's now 12. Although he's normally only interested in the building part, not the painting for some reason?
