HI Ian well brushed eletric motors prices aernt to bad here unless you go brushless motors an they can be nr a 100 pounds ago so its the props what are exspnsive as its a specialist trade makin them an i fully exspect them to be anywhere between £20 to £30 each an then times 4 an its a big bill to me anyway an the same with ESC they can also be exspensive so this R/C SHIPS lark can work out dear but when you think about things in blighty everything is dear with this bloomin VAT ON THE TOP as these lot cant rip us all off fast enough just my thoughtsSounds to me like the price of electric motors and other RC things are higher than over here.
My plastic pusher has those 45mm screws five blade at about 12-14 quid and a good motor for between 13 and 30 quid each.
THANKS Jim yes im hopein so but my new boaty mate has given me a kick up the ole exhaurst lol to get this back on track but untill them props come im stuck so this sunday at subermerine day i will be takin MY HMS NORFOLK to try an sink a few lolGood luck this time around Chris. Everything crossed.
HI Scottie yes so do i as ive been tryin to get this ship right so she will sail ok but there are so many varibles that can send you in the wrong direction an ive had so much advise i dont know what to beleive but now my new boaty mate has had a given me good advise which means i wont have to drill out all the prop shafts an A-frames so im pining my hopes on this moment when i get them new props but that can take months as this was a fairly nice model an after 30 odd yrs of building them i dint think id have this trouble but just goes to show how wrong i can be at timesI really hope you get everything sorted mate.

thanks Doug but im nr on me last legs if these ideas dont work then ive got only one more option an that them treble 555 motors an cheers for rootin for me its keepin up my mojoWell done Chris. You certainly ain't a quitter that's for sure.
Keep going buddy, we're all rooting for you to succeed. :thumb2:
HI John yes its deep breaths all right as im running out of options fast an just for a trail im only goin to fit them back two monster motors an then ive got to cut off the motor terminals on the wires an refit new ones as the motor terminals are not universal an all are different sizes so more wirein work an im commitin my motor mounts to these motors as if the motors dont do the job then the motor mountins wont be any good for to fit a different motors in so a lot at stake here an cheers for all you guys support an if it dont work out then at least i can say is i TREID an when i go back to the model shop today ive just got to hope the chap will have the correct size motor mountin bolts as he sold me the wrong ones they are too small MORE PROBLEMS will it never endDeep breath Chris , just take your time and work through it . Everyone on here supports you .

HI Ian yes i see your point but untill i can get things right WELL its just try an see but the first 2 big motors are now fitted in an love your suggestion lolI would have tried just with the new props first befor fighting with getting those motors fitted. Whats next a bunch of car starter motors? LOL
