I received an email purporting to inform me that there was a problem with my Netflix subscription.

It looks like this:

Needless to say I didn't click on the link at the bottom as I know there is no problem. They even gave me a double barrelled surname which is wrong! I've deleted the email.

Just a 'heads up' in case anyone else might receive a similar message.

Cheers

Steve

It's odd because I hardly ever use Netflix when I'm at home as I've got better things to do, but this morning I did, so I knew it was okay :)

Cheers

These scams look so genuine when they actually bother to use correct spelling and grammar. That would genuinely make me think twice. And scare the feck out of me if the last 4 characters of my credit card was in fact correct...

Cheers for the heads up

I had one too, the clue is the senders email address in my case is .th - ie Thailand - pretty sure netflix not located there. The email is pretty good for most of these things, spelling all correct and no glaring grammatical errors. The email address was a give away though.

Is anyone else getting bombarded by these phishing emails like me ? Paypal and many banks are forever asking me to 'validate' or update my details or follow some dodgy link. Is it the time of year or has some villain suddenly got a new computer !

Colin M.........

It sure is just got one from iTunes asking me to update my account detail following a purchase I'd made, it too said that my account had been suspended even though the purchase went through. You can never be too careful
