Started the ratlines and would like your honest opinion before I trim and glue I know some will say there the wrong colour but they are part of the standing rigging therefor tarred.

Based on historical accounts the rigging, including the ratlines, would have typically been tarred.
  • Tarred Colour: The ratlines were treated with Stockholm tar, which appears as a dark brownish-black or black.
  • Model Accuracy: While some model kits suggest lighter colours, many experts and historical modellers argue that untarred (tan) ratlines are inaccurate for this period, as they were part of the standing rigging. [1]

My bad I was looking at the wrong era in the Trafalgar times they were un tarred or lightly tarred so natural hemp colour :)
 
Well they look good to me, though you appear to have missed a knot on the second one up, fourth in from the right.
