Scale Model Shop

Caught in the act

WELL I caught our SNOWBALL in the act of walking around up on my aircraft shelf above the tv an thank goodness she never broke anything but she got a lightly tanned hide grrrr

Bit lucky there. The only time my cats got into my modelling room, they managed to knock my 1/35 Leopold gun onto the floor, completely wrecking it; and my 1/35 Dora railway gun is now missing an assortment of railings and steps!

I got questions.

I've already said I feed my cats with both wet pouches of meat and dry food in the form of biscuits.

Anybody with a brain knows that cats are carnivores - so how come the petfood manufacturers are making their dried biscuits out of 90%+ vegetable matter? Are they trying to turn our cats into herbivores? And if they succeed, what by the names of all the Gods are they going to do to stop us being totally overrun by rats and mice!?

YEA YOU are right dave but i have no answers thats just how things are now it will be up to us to catch them as our cat snowball who you see in the pic is goin crazy on baked beans an butter an tomatoe soup an god knows what eles crazy cat aint she ?

The reason the pet food manufacturers use so much vegetable "filler" material is cost.....meat is expensive, profit margins are where it's at.

I guess I should have known that Rick. 99 times out of a 100 the answer to the question "Why don't they .....?" is money. Unfortunately here it's MY money 'cos I have to buy the more expensive stuff as my cats won't touch the cheapo 'vegetable' options! And even with the expensive brands, there's far too much veg and not enough meat.

Our old boy just used to use the kibbles to get his energy levels up for the hunt. His record was five mice in one night, and that was in the middle of Salisbury....he was never a bird catcher though.

My Clyde can't compete with that Tim. Best he's done so far is 2 toy stuffed owls over two nights a few years back, and 7 dead rats in just over a week last month.

This is Polly. She’s not proud, she’ll drink your bath water.....and then howl like a banshee to tell you she wants more.
