Today I've glued the fins and engine intakes on.The intakes had some ejector pin marks that needed filling in first.I've also been sanding the joins.The parts fit on this kit is very good.Its only needed a little squadron green around the rear fuselage joins and a bit of Mr Surfacer 500 on the wing and forward fuselage joins.Going to fit the conformal fuel tanks to the fuselage sides next.

Long conformal fuel tanks glued to each side of the fuselage.These are an excellent fit.If Revell were to include bombs with this kit it would be near perfect.

polux, the lead is to keep the plastic model sitting on all its wheels as most kits have a tendancy to sit on their tails when built, basically it is usually added as close to the front of the model as possible to keep the front end down.

I forgot to put some in the nose.So I had to put it just behind the cockpit

Looking good.

The lead is to keep the nose wheel down Polux. A lot of the larger modern jet kits are heavy in the tail and the nose wheel lifts.

My cup of coffee is my ballast in the office. My Airfix P-38 needed a lot of weight to stop it tail standing without a pole, didn't put enough in it as it turned out. Can never seem to find small and dense enough material to use.

I have an advantage there Joe, I often get to work on very old lead sheathed cables, which need a certain amount of preparation.

I don't suppose there's much call for lead in the aircraft industry !

Last night I fitted the windscreen and masked the model for paint.Tonight I sprayed it with Vallejo white primer.

Hi Dave I am currently building one these bad boys. A few things I found that were lacking are the boms for the tank rails on the underside and no aim-7's. I guess it depends if you want to depict the real aircraft that attended RIAT in 98 or not. I have made a couple of errors with this build one of wich I am hoping to sort. I would advise cutting the long tiger mark decals in to more managable pieces as it is easy to end up with creases
