Scale Model Shop

Going off line

I echo everyones comments and hope the treatment goes well and you manage to get back to some form of normality, (modelling) soon!

Not strictly true, but wont be posting much over the next few months as I start Chemo this Wednesday. Cancer discovered at the junction of the food pipe to the stomach after an endoscopy end of Jan, not curable but it is treatable. Will be dropping 'in' now and then to keep an eye on you all. x
Good luck to you, and let us know how you are getting on.

Thanks for all the messages. Totally positive that I will beat this or shrink it back to as small as possible

Sorry to learn this but it looks to me that you have the right attitude, Dont be a stranger and kick its butt.

Sorry to hear your news Steve. With your approach to it, though, you have the better chance of controlling it.

Finished round one two weeks ago. No side effects except tiredness. Which I will take. Over did it last weekend though as watched baggies on Friday night, photographed a ice hockey match on Saturday, went to watch an ice hockey match Sunday, night so stood for the 1 last period but legs gave out so went and sat in the sponsor section and worked till Wednesday. So was fkd.
Started round 2 of chemo yesterday was on a drip for over 4hrs, with 1 1/2 litres of chemo dripped into me. The steroids they put into me kept me awake till 5am this morning. So hoping for a better sleep tonight. At Wolves civic tonight to watch Brian Cox

On the model front I have just brought takoms 1/16 Jeep or utility truck as they call out with the intention of converting to a SAS desert version. Will twoe

Quick update; had my 3 round scan back on April 12th, 8 weeks later I have seen a copy of the results, this is after 3 cancelled consultant appointments, cancelled the night before, which isn't good as you get yourself worked up/ready for any news and bam its gone. Anyway really happy to report that everything is shrinking by at least half, so should be even better now.

That's great news Steve. It is very hard to deal with cancelled appointments but the good results are what matters.
