Well it doesn’t seem it but I started the forum 18 years ago, I would like to thank the mods old and new for their help and a special thank you to @Ian M for all his work, I don’t get chance to be on the forum or even do any modelling as much as I would like, but Ian has been a great help with the day to day running of the forum.

Don‘I know if we will be here in another 18 years, probably not, with things like Facebook and other social media platforms it’s good to see forums still have their place.

Well I'm very glad indeed you did start this forum all those years ago, John. I've been here less than a year, and it has already added to my enjoyment of modelmaking immeasurably - thank you!

As for any threat from Facebook et al, I don't think you have anything to worry about - they're increasingly toxic places to be. I left Facebook a few years back, then I left Twitter, and I use WhatsApp with discretion. I've never been on any other social media platform, but I do know that well moderated forums like this one can be a source of great joy, useful assistance and encouragement.

Long may it continue!

This, is by far, for me, the best site, not clicky, members help any level of modellers skill set and, it seems that whatever country, age etc people on this forum just seem to relax and gel together.

So, legally we be 18 so can raise a glass of the old strong stuff to John, the crew that help run it and most of all, to all the wonderful members.

Well,it`s a Double Bubble as far as i`m concerned.......
Celebrating the fact that it`s this fantastic Forum`s Birthday,(.... and thanks to ALL involved for that:thumb2......
.... But ALSO,at around 14:00 hrs today i Became a Grandad for the first time :fearful:!!....
This evening i will mostly be celebrating,Drinking Whisky,eating garbage and acting WELL below my age!! :smiling5::smiling5::tongue-out2::thumb2:
