Hi all, well this was just another quickie, an old hasagawa kit with probably about 30ish parts total. Have made the pitot tube from brass and cut a slither of an old red decal to wrap round it.not much time spent on it hence some dodgy seams and a paint finish you could sand your skirting boards with! :smiling6: but it was fun!20220730_194413.jpg20220730_195213.jpg20220730_194426.jpg20220730_195203.jpg20220730_195106.jpg20220730_194951.jpg20220730_194734.jpg20220730_194719.jpg20220730_194627.jpg20220730_195957.jpg

Hi mark
Doesn't look half bad in the photos. A nice result.

For a quickie Mark, she's turned out really nice. I would be more than happy with the result you've achieved. Take a bow Buddy!!!

A beauty.
This excellent aircraft has an episode where a pilot was advised by his wing man to eject after all procedures to get out of a flat spin had been exhausted. After ejecting, he saw the aircraft recover and fly on only to hear "Gary you better get back in it" from his wing man. The craft executed a perfect wheels up landing in a snowy farm field miles away where a policeman responding to the call of a downed aircraft radioed a nearby base to ask how to shut off the still running engine in this pilotless aircraft. The aircraft had a tear in the fuselage repaired, and flew missions for several years before finally residing in the Wright Pat Air force Museum.

Great looking result on a fine looking aircraft. There is something about delta wing birds that just looks “right” isn’t there.

Fantastic job mark , its a great looking aircraft the 106 , and top marks for getting a first class result from an old tooling. I really must get mine started ( 1/48 Monogram ) and finish off the century series build, cheers tony

Great job Mark. Nice subtle variation of the paint as well.

I WONDER WHY the canopy had a framein right accross as i would think the poilot would not be able to look upwards for the huns in the sun ?

Cheers guys,
Think I made a booboo there Chris, I did mask up according to the albeit very faint lines on the canopy but I now think it was just the front section that had the centre section,oh well! Maybe hasagawa made a booboo too! (That's some of the blame shifted lol)

Don't think much concerned w/"Huns in the sun" as equipped w/radar and primarily a shoot'n'scoot Bison hunter :smiling2:.
