You've raised the bar with this one. That looks superb.

Thanks Guys,

Trey thanks for the compliment but you have to remember that this is 1/32 scale which does make life a bit easier. I've just had a look at your Ju88 you did a while ago I'm still amazed at how much detail went into the cockpit with all that resin plus of course all your painting skills and into the bargain the fact that it's 1/48 scale.

There might be a bit of a delay in further progress as this morning I managed to spill a bowl of freshly made porridge over my left hand resulting in a really bad scald. I was quick to get it under cold water and then an ice pack so there's only a small amount of blistering but it still did bring a tear to my eye as it's, excuse the swearing, bloody painful.

Ouch!!!!

That is going to sting a bit. Hopefully it won't be too long before you are back at the workbench.

Cheers

are we sure this is vaughan and not goldilocks lol,get well soon mate, scalds are sometimes worse than burns because of the penetration,so be careful.

Thanks for that Tony, the porridge wasn't even for me I don't like the stuff so will have to blame Gill as I was making it for her.

I actually love it, especially with some honey or golden syrup dolloped in (cue wailing and gnashing of teeth from the 'salt' lobby!!!) I just hope the damage is temporary , we all want to see this Jug finished!! , cheers tony

Hi Guys

Well the fingers are on the mend and the blisters are going down see the beautiful shot of my finger. I've managed to glue the office together and try a dry fit in the fuselage. All looks to be a good fit and the wing braces will help maintain the correct dihedral once they are fitted. I just pulled the Mig3 off the shelf for a size comparison she's a big bird and living up to her name. Not sure what to do next. Maybe close the fuselage once the side wall are sprayed, make a start on the wheel bays but I'm not sure if they were painted green or yellow zinc chromate so will have to check my references. Then I could spray the prop and spinner, too many choices.

Hi Vaughan,I'm almost certain that ZCY is correct for the wheel wells. What about the undercarriage? The last one I did was OD but they weren't always :)

That finger still looks sore, even if on the mend!

Cheers

Hi Guys,

Well I opted to go with the prop. I started with an initial coat of black then once dry masked up, I then spayed the hub steel. I followed up with the prop tips first a light coat of white then yellow. Masking off and all looks good. All that's need is a coat of klear and the I can lay down the decals and then a final flat coat.
