After adding over 100 decals it’s finished. This is the Academy 1/48 kit. I’ve always wanted to build a Hunter as it is such a good looking aircraft. I altered the kit to be wheels up, added a new cockpit interior and pilot and a brass pilot tube. The decals are also AM, this one is XG228 of 1 Sqn RAF West Raynham 1969.

Fabulous mick , beautifully built and an aircraft as superbly designed as this is always going to look best in flight ,as proved here. Great job , cheers tony

I have a favour if you don't mind me asking? Would you PM me with the details of where you got your flight stand from? I'm looking to do some wheels up aircraft myself and that looks perfect for what I have in mind, reasonably substantial without being too obvious.

The Hunter is indeed, a good looking aircraft. Posing yours in flight just shows those lines even better. You've built a great Hunter Mick. A splendid build, top notch.
