We used to call these “washboards” :) This will be interesting to follow.

I built this one a few years back after being given it as a present by my wife. As a relative beginner, I built it on the kitchen table and finished it with rattle cans.

It didn't put me off :smiling:

I remember when pretty much every village in France had at least oneof these abandoned out the back of the local garage with weeds growing through it.....

I'll be watching along.

Nick.

I bet there kicking themselves now, there big money to buy even a restoration job. I think every baker had one good old reliability no frills just what you need not like the new vans

Seen one of these as a food truck and another as a coffee bar. The latter was for sale DKR1200000. About £100,000.

well moving a long nicely, till i got to the fan belt this holds the the water pump hose assembly in position but it was broken in 2 places on the sprue. So I tried to repair it but just to flimsy so i stripped some copper wire out of a thin cable and twisted 3 strands together and cut the rest of it from the alternator and water pump and glued it in to place,
now managed to move on with the rest of the engine assembly and painted.
i even added the 5 HT leads to the distributor cap but these proved to flimsy so i removed them as i suspect they would brake a way sooner or later

busy day ahead of me so we will see what i can get done over the next day or two
have a great Christmas everyone hope santa is good to you all

Happy new year everybody, hope you all had a great Christmas and Santa was good to you all? I know he was to me, my son bought me a 1/72 revel V11C submarine it a bit on the big side but a welcome none the less and a new bell helmet for the summer!!! from the wife & daughter.
managed a bit more on this build to as well as some graft at work and tiling a bathroom for my daughter (not quire finished yet bathroom or the kit)
did some additional stuff on the engine and started putting the body & chassis together thats when i noticed a few strange things the chassis after bonding has a twist to it and with a little tweek here and there its now a lot better and i hope once the roof goes on it will pull it all back in to shape fingers crossed anyway i have noticed some issues with the plans and part marks not being the reference they should be and also with placement of parts as per the pictures, in 1 it asks you to put the fuel pump on top off the dip stick holder and clearly points this out then contradicts it self in the next image and part ref on sprues are wrongly numbed in the plans this should keep it intresting lastly the inner wheel arch is short by 5mm but im sure i can fill this hope so anyway let me know if you have come across this before
i also bought a set of resin tyres for this build a lot of flash but cleaned up nicely.

Coming along really well Simon. There’s something of the Ju 52 about her isn’t there….probably evoked by the corrugated panels….

Well this is coming together nicely if you ignore the instructions, and double check everything before fixing permanently. Front end is on and cab is fitted out ..
roof is next not looking forward to it but we’ll see how it goes 833310F9-4EEE-4530-8548-860A3D886680.jpegC676F9DA-97F8-4C30-B573-E9EB3B9219DD.jpeg30082E86-354E-4534-A912-1C342EC0051E.jpeg036F0ECD-9DDF-4E47-BDD9-A8A6294A7208.jpeg0C2B74B5-9D96-43F6-9F16-A24212A0A4A7.jpeg
