Hi all
Here we are again. Part 2 with all the bells and whistles. The kit is the same but not the Starter Kit, it has different decals. I love the box art so that is the version I'll be doing.



I shall use the airbrush, decent glue, decent paint, MicroSol etc - all the things I missed last time. I also have the PE set, mainly to enhance the cockpit.



I also have the canopy masks which people have kindly explained how to use on another thread - thanks guys :thumb2:



My only fear is how I'll feel if it turns out worse that the Part 1 effort :rolling: Although to be honest it is such a lovely little kit that I am quite confident it will be fine.

Hi all
Well it has been a trial. Using PE on a two seater cockpit at 1/72 scale is ultra fiddly and incredibly time consuming. Anyway it is done and next I'll fit it between the fuselage halves.










Sorry - the camera decided it didn't want to focus or I had the shakes :sad:


So much better than the Part 1 version

Wow Jim, it's like stepping into a total make do or having a face lift. Part 1 was good but this is leaps and bounds better. Neatly done ...no glue stains visible. It's always great to have the heart of the plane done well.

Hi all
Just to show this is still plodding on. Build mainly complete. Stynylrez grey primer.

I was going to preshade before the top coat but I didn't for two reasons. Firstly I am hopeless and have never yet done a preshade which I didn't obliterate with my heavy handed airbrushing :thinking: Secondly the decals cover so much of the model I though later weathering would be enough.
Top coat of Vallejo Metal Color aluminium.

This is the decal instructions. The ones for the wing leading edges actually fold round to the underside :flushed:

Looks like a disaster waiting to happen!

Hi Jim, completely missed the start of this one. Quite some thing to miss! Really love that cockpit. And good one on the paintwork. Can you - during next update - take a photo with a real life object like a pen or lighter besides it? Just to show a sense of scale, and probably give an insight of your mental health after working with 1/72nd scale .

Neat start at the paintwork Jim, agree with your choice to leave the pre-shade off :thumb2: .
With so much decals you won’t see it and later on the decals can be blended in during the post-shade and weathering:smiling:.
