Hi all,

This will be my first contribution to Scale-Models.co.uk :-)
Have not done that much and my pace is generally very slow.

Accessories used / to be used (so far):
  • AIRES 4487 - EA-6B Prowler ICAP-2 (late) cockpit set
  • WOLFPACK 48115 - EA-6B Prowler Wheel bay set for Kinetic
  • WOLFPACK 48114 - EA-6B Prowler Radar & Avionics set for Kinetic
  • EDUARD 48681 - EA-6B undercarriage for Kinetic
  • EDUARD 48684 - EA-6B electronic equipment for Kinetic
  • EDUARD 48672 - EA-6B exterior for Kinetic
  • MAW Decals 48008 - Formation Lights

Ok, so you reach to a point that you have to say enough! Enough, cause it will never finish.
So this is the best I could do so far. Everything glued in place and ready to go for the other side:

What are you going to do to make the canopies the distinct gold tint

This is months fromnow.
I have to complete the engines compartment, the wings and then get to it.

Any good ideas more than welcome though!

Great start on this, the comparison photo shows you have a real eye for detail and finishing. Don’t worry about the speed of build, I’ll take quality over quantity and day of the week....

I have read that some guys have good success with spraying the inside of the canopy in very light coats of alclad gold.

Yep, this should work... I cannot think of anything different to be honest. Maybe not Alclad but as a concept...

Not sure about the Alclad gold. Lacquer based paint could damage the clear plastic.when I built the Airfix 1/48 TSR2 I used Tamiya clear orange thinned with Klear floor polish (the new one) which worked well
