New airbrush arrived.
Thanks to everyone for their feedback. Had a quick handle and it feels solid.
Take Jim's overtightening warning very seriously.....
I've done that too, lucky it was just a cheapy a.b.Chris
Take Jim's overtightening warning very seriously.......I sheared mine off using the supplied spanner......cost me £40 to replace......AB only cost £100......
Get one of the Iwata Nozzle wrenches - they work with any similar nozzle type......I'm not saying it's impossible to overtighten with them but it takes a lot more effort.

So it turns out I wasted my money in two of these bottles......:tired::sad::sad:Hi all
So these paints have arrived over the last few days and so I can now get on with painting my DAK figures.
And no I'm not taking up golf.....I saw Tim used them as stands for painting his 1/72 figures and thought genius idea. I've tried to be a bit environmentally friendly by getting wooden ones.

You'll just convince your self everything looks good in them colours for a while :tongue-out3:So it turns out I wasted my money in two of these bottles......:tired::sad::sad:
In one case, when doing my usual home made swatch with the new arrivals I already had a Revell and Humbrol that were VERY close.....
Annoyingly the app I (and a few of us use) said there was no equivalent and on the screen the colour definitely had a greenish tinge to the brown, which I definitely didn't have..... C'est la vie....
More annoyingly though, with the other paint, I clearly haven't checked my list of paints I already had in stock......and so now I have two....DOH!!!
HA!! Done that myself a few times Andrew!!:tears-of-joy::loudly-crying:So it turns out I wasted my money in two of these bottles......:tired::sad::sad:

Hope you've tied it down - the winds you've got might blow it to Wales!Well..... It seems that the "Phrase ,"Slowly, slowly, catchy monkey",might apply here!!......
Some of you may remember that i was after a 1/35th "Huey" about a month ago,but the only one that REALLY got my attention was a Dragon kit. Unfortunately the myriad of online stores had sold out, leaving 3 on Evilbay....... 1 bidding at £75 plus outrageous P&P,and 2 with a starting bid of £100:dizzy:,obviously that wasn`t gonna happen....... SO,i left one of those "Please Email me when it`s back in stock" messages on an online shop,(Based in French France i now know!), that i`d never used before, expecting nothing positive to be honest.....mainly because they were showing it for £29.99 plus £8.99 P&P:flushed:,
I read mixed reviews about them, but PayPal was an option,so, "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" thought I !!
3 days later i got the "It`s in stock" Email,i paid instantly, crossed my fingers and waited, that was on Saturday 10th of this month........
..... and today here it is!!......
It`sHUEYHUGE!!..... what an absolute result, one chuffed bunny down ere in Devon, even if i did have to get it from a French based company......( sorry, inbuilt Devonian rivalry with ANYTHING French rearing it`s head there:tears-of-joy: !!),i have to say that their service,IMHO,is first class:thumb2:,
I just can`t wait to get stuck into this,HOWEVER...... My Patton dio WILL be completed, the Sheridan WILL be built/painted first......
........ Well,that`s the plan!
ONE thing that is for sure though...... no more buying of kits for me this year:thumb2: ,
Andy
Yes, my sister's at HatherleighHA!! Very true Gerry...... It`s blowing a Gale here today.......
...... it may well make it past Wales!!:dizzy:
She 'splits' her time between there & Oke - farm at Hatherleigh, home at Oke (not that she gets 'home' that often due to the stock!)Blimey,I know it well........,nice little place!!
A bit North from me,about 35mile i reckon, but as most of my work is for SWW,and their training centre is up there,i visit often!
